Peel Unveil Plans for Amenities Village at Calder Park
Peel have announced that a mini lakeside village will be developed at Calder
Park, offering a variety of amenities for the rapidly expanding business
community.
Adjacent to the M1, the park is ideally positioned to service the thousands of
daily commuters and 4,000 nearby households, in addition to the potential 15,000
workers that will be employed at Calder Park.
A number of lakeside units will be built ranging from 700 sq ft to 5,500 sq ft.
to service the regions fastest growing business park. The first phase will
consist of a lakeside pavilion with waterside terracing and a promenade also
with decking.
The units are ideally suited for support services such as a restaurant,
convenience store, cr*che operator, dry cleaners, pharmacy or similar and joint
agents Lambert Smith Hampton and Savills already have a number of interested
occupiers.
Nick Hey, Development Manager of Peel Holdings said:
“The amenities village is a natural progression for Calder as the park is
developing so quickly with 150,000 sq ft under complete or in progress in the
past 12 months. What sets this opportunity apart from any other park in the
region, indeed possibly the county is the stunning lakeside setting, outstanding
design and impressive demographics“
Calder Park is unique in offering up to 1.5 million sq ft of office
accommodation on a 240 acre site which includes a 100 acre dedicated nature
reserve. The amenities village will be centrally located next to the lake for
prominence and for easy access from the whole park.
