Rally Day Hits Wakefield to Celebrate Success of Calder Business Park.
A day of extreme sports was on offer when Peel Holdings hosted their Annual Rally Day at Calder Park, the state-of-the-art business park in Wakefield.
Guests took part in activities which included unlimited rally-car driving, go-karting, six-wheel buggy driving and a clay pigeon ‘shoot out’.
Peel Business Parks, held the event to allow people the opportunity to witness first hand the outstanding development of the park over the past year.
It was announced at the event, attended by some of the most prominent property professionals and land agents in Yorkshire, that construction of a new control centre for the Highways Agency has started.
The Highway Agency’s 20,129 sq ft control centre will form phase 4 of the site following on from the success Peel have had in attracting major occupiers including a Holiday Inn Hotel and Red Kite restaurant, Regional headquarters for George Wimpey and Fairclough Homes, and a Gladman Business Quarter.
Nick Hey, Development Manager for Calder Park said:
“This annual event has become a great opportunity for property professionals to visit the site and realise first hand the benefits on offer, the most impressive being immediate access from jct 39 of the M1. The past 12 months have been a tremendous success with a number of occupiers now enjoying the benefits of moving to Calder Park and we are confident that the level of demand will continue”.
